How to Use the Ingredient Portion Converter
Choose the ingredient, enter the amount used by the original recipe and its unit, then set the original and new servings. Press Convert Portion to get the scaled amount plus its weight and volume equivalents.
Volume and weight together
Volume units (cups, tablespoons, teaspoons, millilitres) convert to grams using the ingredient's density.
Weight units (grams, kilograms, ounces, pounds) convert to cups in the same way.
The scaling factor is simply the new servings divided by the original servings.
